Hello, I am trying to play social online multiplayer for Halo 2, 2A, and 3 on MCC using Xbox app on PC. I cannot find a single match, I have checked all server regions are on and I don’t have any restrictions, networking settings are default.
I play this game every now and then and every few months when I try to play it, the game has found a new way to break itself. What is going on? I have my windows up to date, my game appears to be up to date, there is no option to update it through the launcher. I get into the game fine, it says it’s searching for players but I never get a match. You’d think the game would say “out of date” or tell me if there’s an issue but I’ve had this exact issue years back and the solution was downloading some extra hidden files through the windows store.
I think something must be broken because when the game works, matchmaking times are very short. I noticed with Season 7 there are “$” signs all over that look broken, is this supposed to be cool design? because it feels like my game is broken. Is matchmaking broken or is my game broken? I just want to play some halo 2 and 3 I don’t know why that’s so hard for 343 to maintain.
Edit: Searching for updates on the Microsoft Store app and it gets stuck on downloading 54mb for “Your Phone” app which I don’t use. Come on Microsoft I just want to play halo on your own platform, why is the service so bad? Imgur: The magic of the Internet
