I’m unable to get through the entire playlist due to some sort of bug. I just finished Halo 2 and was waiting on a black screen for a few minutes, thinking it was going to load up. Nothing ever happened. I tried hitting any button on the controller and nothing worked until I hit the view button and saw the old Halo 2 Cortana, glitching out as it stuck on the last few seconds of the ending cinematic. I closed out of the game and attempted to resume the campaign as it shows I’m at the start of Halo 3, but it will not load. I try to resume, see the loading screen for Arrival for a handful of seconds, and am kicked back to the playlist screen. I cannot continue on with the entire saga. If anyone else has had this issue, have you gotten around it? If so, how? I really want to play the entire playlist but I don’t really want to go back through the entirety of Halo CE and Halo 2 all again in the same week simply to get past the point I’m stuck at in the playlist.

I had the same problem when running through the campaigns, someone wrote somewhere that I should try switching the Country and Language on the Xbox to United Kingdom or United States, and for some reason this works.
Microsoft decided that when I live in Sweden I can’t have my Xbox set to English, so if I set my Xbox to be located in Sweden, I can’t have the English language set.
Which apparently makes Halo 3 in the MCC unplayable. Logics!
I am having same issue where it black screened after halo 2 so I quit out of game and arrival from halo 3 shows as next but it won’t load in. It just backs out right away. I’m in U.S. So I don’t think changing location will help. I hope this gets fixed at some point cause I would like to finish this playlist.
Got it to work. Messed around with location by changing to Canada and without restarting change back to United States then restarting and now it loaded and playing halo 3 now.

EnNickeMan you are a saviour! I had the same problem. Switched my Xbox to United States, and it finally loaded.

So, why did that work?
Worked for me as well, someone should sticky this solution - hard to believe its still an issue in January.
I got the achievement by joining my friends game and beating the last mission of Halo 4 with him. He worked hard, beating the entire thing, and I snuck in at the last moment to get the gamerpoints.
Feels good man.
