Since the Creator’s Update launched, I have been unable to access new screenshots from Xbox live in Halo 5 in order to attach to forge creations. I have tried all methods of screenshot attachment, and none work. I cannot see my newer screenshots in game, on Waypoint, or even in Halo 5: Forge on PC. I am essentially unable to take/attach new screenshots to my new forge maps.
Yeah, i believe the HaloWaypoint API needs to update to link up with the new screenshots taken post update. Until then, the workaround it to upload them to Xbox live on a Windows 10 computer.

Really? I tried this and it did not work. Which app do you use, Xbox or Xbox (Beta)?

Use the Xbox (beta) app and when you are uploading the screenshot, tell it it is from Halo 5: Forge. It is not likely to get through if you try linking it to Halo 5: Guardians. These screenshots will appear in the PC tab on Xbox, accessed by pressing RB when in the screenshot selection menu.

Yep, I tried this - and even this doesn’t work for me. Same issue occurs.
Explained a workaround at Forgehub.
It sometimes takes about 5-10 minutes for the screen shots to show but this has worked flawlessly for me.
Make sure your Xbox App is up to date and points to the correct C:Users/***/Videos/Captures folder in the Settings/Game DVR tab.
Do note when using the Xbox Beta App method, you won’t be able to use your screenshot for a few days as it will be checked by Microsoft first.

This is incorrect using the method i described above. I use screen shots almost immediately. If the pics are downloaded/uploaded to/from the same folder, and the Xbox is connected, the game meta data is retained and they are cleared right away. If you notice in the pics i posted both contain the “Game: Halo 5: Guardians” meta data.

Same problem here… I can’t even use my laptop to upload the screenshots because for some reason the xbox app doesn’t want work correctly. I don’t think I’m using the beta version either. I’ve taken several screenshots from Forge on my laptop but none of them appear when I look for them on my xbox. Although, I think it might be that I have GameFirst IV installed. I’ve had teredo connection problems because of it before. Aside from that, yeah, my screenshots don’t appear on my xbox after taking them on my Win10 laptop.

I think I must have misunderstood your method compared to how I normally do it.

Make sure it is the Beta App, otherwise you don’t get a choice of game to upload it to.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I’ve already tried this and it still doesn’t work. It’s possible that it is occuring because I am running the Creators Update on Windows 10 Preview - and I’ve heard some speculation that the new update changed some of the DVR functionality. That would line up with it not working on Xbox as well, since the creators update went out to everyone there
Thank you for your report! We’re taking a look at this.

You’re on the Creator’s preview, and i’m on the Xbox preview so there’s bound to be be differences.
Was your app synced to the Xbox One, or is that still a thing?

My app is connected to the Xbox… But I don’t think that has anything to do with the DVR system

I hope the problem with the screenshots will be fixed soon.
It is already something nerfig if one wants to play without pictures of its own map and which then no one can see before the joinen.
Im having the same issue with my xbox one halo 5 screenshots as well is there going to be a fix for this or is it a problem on my end?

The problem is 343’s servers compatibility with the new system update, they can’t seem to detect screenshots from the DVR. So no, not your end.
The fix at the moment is shown by a hyperlink above in this thread, where you open the Xbox app on your PC, download your screenshot from the Xbox DVR tab, then upload it via the PC tab (then it should appear in the PC tab on Halo 5).

Ok cool I thought I was the only one having this problem. 343 better get their crap together cuz as much as I love Halo, I’m close to giving up on it.
