Can you watch the old ones?

H3 and H4 cutscenes are untouched, but H1 and H2 have been remastered.

they’ve been remastered, but you can still watch the old ones like gristly said.

Has that been confirmed? I’ve heard a lot of back-and-forth on this.

I thought you could only view the remasterd cutscenes. It does make sense for you to be able to switch between them and appreciate the work they’ve done.

In game you can watch the following:

  • Halo CE original cut-scenes- Halo CE Anniversary cut-scenes- Halo 2 original cut-scenes- Halo 2 Anniversary cut-scenes- Halo 3 cut-scenes- Halo 4 cut-scenesFor Halo 1 & 2, you can decide which version of the cut-scene you want to watch by having the appropriate graphics active before triggering the cut-scene.

In CEA, it would play old cutscenes in old graphics and vice-versa. Same for Halo 2, I just keep hearing that you may or may not be able to switch them while the cutscene is playing.

Alot of the twitch users have demonstrated that you can switch cutscenes in-game as they are playing.

That is awesome news. I really wish that feature was in CEA.

Hey so I know this thread is kinda old. But I was wondering how exactly you’d change the graphics to the original. I switched what seemed to be that option in the settings menu. But nothing changed. The textures still look like they’re straight out of the anniversary edition despite the option being set to original. I was wondering if anyone else was having this problem.

Figured it out. Make sure when you’re first starting out to select the first mission from the mission selection screen. If you use quickstart it locks it into the anniversary edition.

Try to avoid reviving ancient threads like this one, this is against the forum rules.

As for your question, there is the setting in the pregame menu, as well as the button you can press while in game. On console or with controller, this button is the BACK one. On keyboard, the default is the TAB key, but you can change it to whatever you like on KB/M.
