Can you unlocks armors like Mark VI, which is unlocked through playing a mission in the MCC, through REQ packs or do you have to purchase the MCC seperately and play it to unlock this armor in Halo 5?
EDIT: Also, same question applies to pre-order armor bonuses!

I have heard no… the nightfall and I think helioskrill are only unlockable by completing MCC on legendary I think and by watching the serie Nightfall on Halo channel
Preorder armors are unlockable through Reqs, I’m pretty sure achievement armor like Helioskrill are not possible through Reqs. I’ve heard a lot of conflicting reports, though.
No, you can’t.
You unlock the two Mark VI variants from playing different Halo 2 campaign missions.
You unlock Helioskrill through completing the “Legend” achievement.
You unlock Nightfall through Halo Channel.
When I had everything unlocked except for these armors, all I would get from REQ packs would be REQ points.
I had to go into MCC and unlock them through there.
There was a bug with the HCS Premium Reck pack that allowed people to unlock certain things they weren’t supposed to. Some people unlocked Nightfall, Vanguard (emblem), and the 343 Industries weapon skins. Other than that bug, which is not available anymore, the only way to unlock those 4 armor pieces and helmets is from MCC.
There was also a tweet from a 343i employee stating that Helioskrill or something was available in the REQ packs, but this was before the game even launched. That was changed and it is not available through REQ packs.

Yes these are the only play to earn, exclusive armor that there is in the game and I hope they don’t change it.
Helioskrill is one of the few I’m missing. Been slowly working on it.
