Hi, Nomad here, Okay, so I got an average of 1650+ points per arena game, and the very last day, I did horrible, I mean, 1000- points every game, I was destined for gold or maybe onyx, but that last day TOTALLY screwed me, so now I’m in bronze (FML). I was wondering if I wreck the bronze players, will I get ranked up? Or do I ahve to wait another grueling 68 days?
You can definitely rank up or down during the season, you aren’t locked in.
But note - your rating is irrelevant…the only thing that matters is win/loss and the true skill of your opponents (just like Halo 3 ranked).
Yes you will rank up so long as your points are in the 1400+ area. you can check your current standing and percentage by going to your service record clicking career then go to arena find the current season and then it shows you a lot of info your games played to your division standing. My recommendation is for you to into the arena with a freind that knows what he is doing and can back u up. This way your more likely to get sprees if you can double team your opponents.
Sprees + positive k/d= higher points rank= higher division standing
> Sprees + positive k/d= higher points rank= higher division standing
False. See my post above.

Why post when you do not know what your talking about?
I really appreciate this guys, my K/D is usually 3:1, 4:1, and Onyx is easily achievable. thanks alot guys.

So Onyx is*
Just win a lot and you’ll go up to Onyx.
Honestly, getting Onyx is really easy.
Yea, I usually win 4/5 games. I find Onyx a really easy target, but I did horrible this last day, and when I mean horrible, I mean Edward Scissorhands terrible.
I’m assuming this is your first season of Arena. If that’s the case, your trueskill will start out low.
When I started my most recent alternate account, I played and had a perfect 60/60 record when I got rated and that was only good enough to get an initial Gold placement. Why? Because I only beat a few Onyx players, lots of Gold, Silver, Bronze and Iron.
Now, I eventually dropped down to single digits on it because I kept my W/L nearly flawless throughout the season on that account, but if you start fresh in Arena, it takes a little while longer to get to a better placement since the system doesn’t have an accurate depiction of where you belong. Give it about 50 more games for a better placement.
For example on this account, since I have multiple Onyx placements in the past, I’ll start out playing nothing but Onyx and will get rated and placed in Onyx.
Your k/d is so high because you are verses bad players. Once you get put in the correct division, your kd will be around the 1.00 mark and your win/loss should be roughly 50%.
Keep winning games and you will move up against people with around the same true skill level as you.
No I understand that, but 75% of the time im facing onyx league players, and yes just to make sure I send them messages, the game has noticed my skill, and has quickly adapted to it. Other times, when I was facing bronze players, I was getting killing frenzies left and right.

Lol, not really.
I held a 2.0 with nearly a perfect W/L after 100 games of Onyx play on my alt.
Some people put Onyx up on a pedastal, but getting it is like getting commander in Halo 3.

I did the EXACT same thing…
I’m in silver now, but have stopped playing arena because I can no longer get a good team (Random)
