This is something I’m also curious about.
My current thinking is yes, although until someone has tested it that’s unproven.
Im guessing since these are two separate promotions then they wouldn’t crossover.
In the future, apart from XPs, they could offer Skins that can be bought in the store but that you can also obtain by buying a pot of chips.

All cosmetic rewards are meant to be “single source” meaning they only have one way of getting them to avoid confusion or shortcutting.
With a in game store item & a can of chips promo skin being the same they’d also have to be priced the same otherwise I can buy one for cheaper. Meaning either the chip vendor or 343i have to realign their pricing model for that item which I imagine would be more hassle than it’s worth

Right, I hadn’t thought about it, do you think there would be such a possibility in case the skins were individual instead of a more expensive group of skins like in Gears 5?

It’s entirely possible that stuff could be bought individually although I think for consumer friendly purposes they’re probably selling them as bulk packs - at least for weapon coatings since each weapon requires its own coating and having to buy a bunch of individual weapon coatings would probably annoy people.
For armour coatings they’ll likely be sold as individuals, although I can imagine a colour pack being released.
