In Warzone, can you select which level 1 assault rifle to start the game with?
Yes, I use the one with the BR scope on it.

For your initial spawn, use the Req station to change the weapon. After you die, you can just as easily switch with the standard Req menu. By the way, don’t underestimate the Storm Rifle as a level one power weapon.

That wasn’t what was asked. We all know you can change weapons at the Req station. We want to know how to start with a specific level one assault weapon. Is there a way to select a specific weapon as your starter weapon as long as it is a level 1 gun?
Yes you can, different scopes are authorized. However to get suppressor/fire-torch-thing you have to be level 2.

Capture home base
Go to one of the REQ Stations in the home base
Head to the loadout section of the REQ Station
Select AR
Scroll through the three ARs (AR, Recon, Loadout)
Replace old AR with one of the other two
Have fun

You can only change loadout weapons after you die or at a req station. You cannot start the match with a specialized verzion of a weapon.

Thank you. That is what I thought. It’s unfortunate that they don’t allow you to preselect one since they are all available level 1 weapons. Maybe that would be a good update for 343 to include!
That early on, I don’t think there’s much of a difference, By the time you die or reach a REQ station, you’ll probably have level 2 REQs available anyway.

I do find a bit of a difference in my shot grouping when I utilize a long range assault rifle. It’s why I would like to start the game with it rather than waiting to die to change weapons or run to a Req station at the start of every match.

Understandable, but as of now it’s just not an option. Better one of these two options than having the Warzone glitch occur and be stuck with the standard AR and magnum the whole match.
There is no way to start the game with the Recon Assault Rifle or any other Assault Rifle. They must be obtained after death or at a req station
