Can you record a clip from theater mode?

I was trying to record a partial clip I was watching in theater mode and couldn’t get it to work. Is there a way to do this?

Pretty sure there are no partial clips in theater mode…

There is no record mode in H5 theater. You have to use an outside app. I use upload theater.

Not every one has the kinetic also doesn’t that only record 20 seconds or something? What if you want to make a long clip?

Thanks… That’s about what i thought. I tried all of the above and couldn’t get it to work. I’ll give upload theater a try.

Go into DVR setting on the Xbox and change it to higher record time. I not sure but I think you can record up to 10 mins.

It doesn’t work in theater mode…

Yes it does. It works no matter what mode you’re in, no matter what game you’re in.

For real… I’ve used DVR clips to make full montages and edits. No capture card required! Easy!

It certainly is. The ability to capture for every game is sweet. That said, I miss the ability to do all the capturing via theater mode. I’m not really sure why H5 doesn’t have the old style theater and fileshare; it made things much easier imo.

Upload theater is somewhat a pain to use but with some practice it gets pretty easy.

You can snap the Game DVR while the theater mode is playing. Hit “Start new clip” when it gets to the point you wanna keep and hit “End clip now” when you’re done.

I got it to work… I tried 5 times and it wouldn’t record. I don’t know what I was doing wrong but it recorded this time… Thanks.
