I hate Locke. Just going to come out and say it. I don’t expect you to feel the same way, but I can’t stand him. His armour, his grumpy attitude, he’s overhyped, he’s boring. I just dislike the guy. “Well bondedauthor master chief is also grumpy” he’s stern and battle ready. With the right amount of cockiness to make a character. “What if we miss” -Cortana to chief. “I won’t.” Rides bomb through space battle to blow up covenant ship
Locke is just… For lack of a better word… Grumpy. He doesn’t seem to connect with his team, Buck momentarily at the start, but the rest of the time he’s just shouting orders. Plus… He pointed a gun at Kelly’s face…
if he dies after being shot too many times like carter or if he dies of an ambush like Emile or if he dies fighting or as a sacrifice like 6 or Jorge, I don’t really care. Wouldn’t really care if he fell in a hole and broke his neck. I honestly just want him gone. Let me know what you think.

All right I’d point out that you can’t hate cardboard, but I was distracted by how deciding to ram a pelican into a bloody scarab for no good reason is considered ‘being shot to much.’

Not blue team, not Buck, I meant to say that, don’t kill blue or Buck. Just vale tanaka and Locke. But I agree completely. Halo 5 was written horribly.
Is this community so creatively bankrupt that the only idea they have for addressing issues of weak character development is just to kill off characters? Accusing Locke of being grumpy is a new one, but just sounds like another made up criticism like him being arrogant.

He’s no Sargent Johnson or Chief that’s for damn sure. I hope 343 does a better job with the character development next time as it was crap in Halo 5. How can you have something so beautifully perfect in the form of entirely likable characters in ODST which was a much smaller project to Almost entirely pointless uninteresting characters in Halo 5 that took 3 years and a much more substantial team. Either 343 of likely MS needs to slap themselves

The waypoint community follow the lazy writing lesson 101: if your fans don’t like a character because of weak development or they don’t have a reason at all, kill them off as actually developing the character would be too much effort.

Yo, what’s wrong with Vale? Her armor looks like it’s got Chozo origin so it’s cool.

Linda is already dead so far I know from the original games. Buck is a awesome character but Fred and Kelly, also Vale and Tanake have a real lack of Story. Hey you have to read the Comics and books to understand the maingame (and not a sequel). And Locke is a way too perfect character and He is poorly written.
And by the way, yes I hate it that we have to play now with female character, I hate the "we have to be right for all the social economics… We need female spartans, no we dont, every normal spartan hate palmer. At that point, if Locke would be like Johnson (maybe his son who is crazy) okay,but Not as a spartan.
