Can you PLEASE give us Crossplay choices!

i gotta ask, what does it hurt giving players the option if they want it? why fight like this against players having the experience they want to have? I don’t understand. If you play on PC, you’ll have your PC crowd, and anyone who doesn’t care.

How does me and many others wanting the option hurt your experience?

I’m not against optional matchmaking like MCC, I’m against making Infinite like MCC where it’s locked into only being able to use Xbox One controllers and Mouse Keyboard. That’s all. If you want to join open multiplayer, all control types are available. If you want a mouse keyboard only, or xbox controller only, as a search option, that’s perfectly reasonable to search for similar players

I don’t think they’ll listen to us on this and it sucks.

I just want t play with others in the eco-system I choose, MCC offers this & it’s been a selling-point for other games, yet for the sake of keeping the cross-population high.

Wanting the option is fine, I just think your reasoning for wanting it is weird. Simply wanting the option is reason enough, but most of your points just make it sound like you’re a tad upset you’re getting outplayed.

I’m generally happy with my performance in the game, and usually my deaths are my own fault, and I learn every time. This isn’t about my performance, it’s about noticing a pattern. Perhaps my frustration framed this whole thing wrong, but all I’m asking is for is options.

If you just want the option, then rewrite the topic so it doesn’t look like you want mixed controls and cross play removed, and just tell us you would like the option for input based matchmaking and open controls matchmaking so you can play with similar control types. As long as Infinite doesn’t lock you to one type like MCC does, everyone wins.

Options are fine, I’m all about player choice. But with no way to confirm who is using what input, you really don’t know if you’re getting beat by someone on PC with a controller, or with MKB on Xbox. As it stands, the game is fine as is when it comes to this aspect, but if players want the option it should still be there.

Noted and edited to better reflect the desire for options, not segregation.

What I love most about Halo Infinite is that it has no controller restrictions, so I can use a Japanese Hori mouse controller, swap between mouse and controller mid game, someone can play with a HOTAS setup like Mech games use, or an Azeron finger controller, and 343 just hired the dev behind Halo VR, so we might actually get VR controls, so I would HATE for Infinite to turn into MCC when it is currently the most open game to any control scheme ever. 343 also teamed up with Razer so this is the first Halo game you can use a Razer Tartarus Pro Gaming Keypad in, which is a left hand keyboard with a thumbstick on it. We have Infinite control schemes and I personally love it. Actually just learned that Infinite had VR demos for Infinite 2 years ago so it sounds like it’s definitely a possibility. If you think Mouse and Keyboard is tough, bro, I’m gonna for sure swap to VR if it happens.

Even the Master Chief Collection has it lol

343 says “Ranked will be input based” they drop this “beta” which is the full release of the MP to find out the input selection only applies to Solo/Duos not 4v4 ranked which is the most dumbest thing ever. I’m always going against and with pc players in the ranked like 90% of them are on pc. Its like 2042 servers for seriesx/s 90% of the match is pc and 10% is made up of console players from a mix of Xbox and Playstation. This whole forced crossplay nonsense is terrible and kills the game for the console community.

How do I know they’re on pc in infinite after the match I check all the players profiles from the scoreboard and they all have that pc icon next to their name. I feel like I’m the only console player with a controller in these matches. They need to fix this and make crossplay optional for EVERYTHING. Otherwise the majority of the console community is just going to leave infinite and go back to Mcc where crossplay is optional and Halo 5 where it doesn’t exist.

And ik they’re on KBM bc they’re usually the ones popping off with the sniper and I’m watching them instantly do a 180 from death cam, instantly looking left to right and that A/D strafe is unfair to our stick strafe. There’s usually 2 KBM players I’m going against in ranked. You can tell when you’re going against a KBM player and a controller player especially if they’re a good KBM or a good controller player you can tell there’s a BIG DIFFERENCE. How is anyone supposed to enjoy ranked when its unbalanced to KBM like socials.

I like infinite but not the unbalanced matches from the forced crossplay if this continues into full release on Dec. 8th then I’m done and I’m going back to MCC or halo 5.

You do know pretty much all the pros are using controller, right?

Yes you are right. I play on XSX, and I can find the MVP are always on PC for almost every matches I met.

Wow really didn’t realize the small amount of pros and pro teams (the 1% ) dictate how the game should be. Didn’t realize how they play mattered on the whole crossplay situation for everybody.

Just saying. Most of the concerns are about controller being too strong. If MKB was too strong, then the pros would use it.

Of course KBM is saying controllers are too strong when they aren’t, the aim assist is nothing compared to “AiMbOt” its not even on the same level as it. Controllers have little to none aim assist anyway in infinite.

Controllers only have aim assist bc we’re using our thumb to look on a joystick while KBM can use their entire arm to look making them more precise than a controller.

The pro halo players are on pc (which pc controllers are better than console controllers) and I’m definitely sure they’re still using controller not bc its better but bc thats the input they prefer to use because they are more comfortable with it since Halo has been a console game for years except for infinite which is highly made for pc.

This whole crossplay and aim assist thing wouldn’t be a big problem if 343 made infinite’s crossplay optional for everything or not have crossplay at all and make a pc only infinite and console only. 2 separate infinites.

And like I said before the pros don’t make up for the majority of the playerbase so stop comparing everything to the pros. Because how the pros play and they’re preferred input doesn’t matter to the entire game. They make up a small percentage of the community not the majority.

I don’t understand why people try to use pros to compare to the rest of the game in their arguments when how they play doesn’t matter to how everyone else plays. They don’t make up the majority of the playerbase just the 1%.

I totally agree!! Why is 343 not giving us the option to choose platform AND input (like MCC) if that’s what most of the community want???

Yeah for both socials and ranked (especially ranked but that just my personal opinion)

What blows my mind is the people commenting against having the above options - It really sickens me.

Leave Aim Assist and M&K speed and precision discusión ASlDE!!!. We just want to have the power to choose!!

343i please give us the toggle in game to disable cross play.

How? I’m using the same Xbox One controller I use on Xbox One on PC. Difference is, on Xbox One, I have red reticle aim assist that magnetizes bullets without effort, but a controller on PC doesn’t do that. If anything, controller is worse on PC. 343 just needs to make it so if a mouse is detected plugged into the device, then red reticle is disabled, so then it doesn’t matter what device you use or control setup, and you can use a controller mouse combo or any 3rd party control setup without the red reticle aim assist since you have a mouse detected plugged in

This is just a straight up lie. You can’t see what platform people are playing on. And the XSX is more powerful than most PC players setups anyway. You can play at 120 fps on the XSX. Most PC players won’t reach those frame rates.
