can you play halo 4 without a hard drive

can you play halo 4campaign and multiplayer without a hard drive.or is it just reccomended to have a hard drive

It’s best to have one, but you should be able to play without one. There is a report that you need 8 gigs of memory for Halo 4, but that include the downloadable Spartan Ops missions. Multiplayer, I’d imagine, would be fine.

Without a hard drive halo 4 will not be as enjoyable, you could always try to get a USB key at worst.

They said 8 GB will be required for MP, but it can be on a Flash Drive. However, do NOT get the 8GB one, they always have a bit of space taken up by system files or the Xbox’s configuration data. The mistake they made with Reach was an oversight on Bungie’s part. I’m sure they’ll correct it in Halo 4 by not requiring it since the internal memory of the new Xbox’s is now indistinguishable to the game than a 4GB Flash Drive.

2012 you have no hard drive, whats wrong with this picture?

lol

OT: You don’t NEED one but I’d strongly advise you get one. It will make your experience more enjoyable. However, you do need 8GB for the multiplayer experience. So you should buy a hard-drive with…say 120GB??? If not 250GB. If you are planning on buying other games that is…

This exactly. Make sure you get a 16gb flash drive, just to be safe. And BTW, here’s the source that you need a Hard drive or the flash drive: Source

Scroll down and you’ll see it below the Chief.

I believe xbox games are requited to work without an internal hard drvie. So if you have a USB stick only it should be ok.

Gamestop sells used hard drives for cheap. its worth it.

Im hoping they dont do something like BF3 in that required some files installed to hard drive to get the best graphics, but im down for whatever gets the most from the system. Currently i got 18gbs saved for halo 4 out of 120.

It’s being said that 8 GB HDD space will be required for halo 4’s multiplayer…
