Can you mute people yet?

Since I know that the update contains some UI updates and bravo said that there are other UI tweaks he hasnt talked about, can you mute people yet?

Let me rephrase that. Can you see who is talking and mute them from the lobby, similar to how your could in MCC.

Nope, that would require a change in UI, which should happen anyways

I thought the new DLC with forge was coming with new changes…such as UI. Guess I was mislead or misheard.

UI changes does not mean new UI, there were only subtle improvements.

And muting from the lobby isn’t a big deal. But the anonymous lobbies mean that this probably won’t happen. They really should make only the arena lobbies private though, it doesn’t make sense for social.

I think muting from the lobby is a big deal. Especially when my kids are in the room and somebody thinks it’s funny to start yelling obscenities into their mic.

You can go your Xbox’s “online-safety” settings under “account” in the Xbox Settings and make it to where you can’t hear any chat. I personally leave mine on “Friends” as they are the only ones I can have a real conversation without having to deal with someone yelling that they had fun with my mom.

@atroxx70 - Hey that’s a valid concern, I talk smack sometimes and I never thought of that. I don’t actually use gamechat though so I’m not really part of the problem.

Still a really good point and with a Teen rating in most countries, it shouldn’t be a concern that you should have to deal with.

i just go into a party so i dont have to constantly mute people raging and screaming

I sure wish you could mute people in the lobby…before the game starts. Once the game starts you it takes a sec, which I usually do not have that time and get killed.

Which goes to show how bad it is!!! PEOPLE!!! WAKE UP!! Just play something else and send a message!! I don’t want to listen to people talking about their gross MLG obsessions and other profanity they replace with yoink here.
