Even if we have 4 people can you guys make it so 4-5 marines are dropped off at the beginning of each set (Every 3 rounds) to help us fight. Don’t make it so we HAVE to protect them just have them there as back up or something. EDIT:They don’t have to be extremely powerful but you shouldn’t make them stupid either.
I’d rather not see that, firefight is already lagging like hell.

Firefight is not laggy. It just requires you to have a really good connection is all. Just like co-op campaign.
i actually like the idea, that way you could hear callouts made by them and get help killing enemies, this would make for an interesting game

And it would make it fun for others who are less fortunate and don’t have internet or maybe just not XBL.
word that is a cool idea
Maybe as an option, but I kind of like it the way it is now.
In the “Instant Action” games of Unreal Championship 2 and Unreal Tournament 3 a solo player has the option of fleshing out a full team using available “bots” for “Team Deathmatch”, as an example. Depending on difficulty settings you set up, the bots will all perform accordingly. On high difficulty they will make use of all their combo moves, whenever they can, for spectacular gameplay challenge and results. Indeed, the bots in those games are so good that on high difficulty they may well outperform a living player in the matches.
The balance is achieved between the bots, though, because of their programming. each has their unique set of moves and counter-moves, so they’re not unevenly matched. The challenge is largely in stepping up one’s game on high difficulty with the bots in order to perform as well as them in those setups.
I think it would be cool to have AI for team setups in Firefight if a player wants to do it that way; i.e., to be able to play team-based stuff without actually going in with live players. This would prevent the lag-factor because in a sense you’re still playing solo.
How a Marine-AI, or multiple Spartan-AI, thing would work with other live players involved is a question, to be sure. It would certainly affect the dynamics of the game, though, I suspect.
For future Halo games I would like a star wars battlefront instant action mode.
Lolz, what are they going to do when a squad of chieftains or generals come? Those marines are going to get torn apart… But that’s a good idea! But they should only be enabled in a CUSTOM firefight match. matchmaking FF already lags like there’s no tomorrow.
