Can you get the Red Shift coating online?

The only Halo product my local GameStop is selling is the Nerf gun, which costs too much to spend on an armor coating. If I bought a funko pop online, would that count/would I get a receipt for Red Shift?

I don’t believe anyone who has purchased online has received the code.

I was wondering the same thing I ordered the Kat figure but has yet to ship so I am waiting to see if I get a code once my card is charged and the receipt is in my email

I think it’s a toss up but I think someone did answer this in the other threads

So you get coatings from buying products?

Unfortunately, yes. Buying colors seems to be 343’s idea of a bad joke.

Dang that sucks, I mean cool for the things you actually want to buy lol XD but still

Well this is absolutely infuriating if you can’t get it online, because I just called three of my local gamestops and they know ZIP about this promo that’s going on… and we’re about over halfway through the promo period. I think on a different thread people were saying that some locations know and some don’t? In any case, the mismanagement of DLC related promos is so bad. Not sure if it’s 343 or gamestop to blame, but man they need to figure this out.

When I got my Red Shift on Friday, the clerk had no clue if the promotion was even real before he scanned my item. He said “well, I guess we’re both about to find out if it works”. Thankfully, the code was on the receipt when he printed it. I know informing every GameStop employee about the sponsorship must have been too big of a challenge for upper management to do, but I find it odd how common this problem is.

What product did you purchase? out of curiosity

I got the MA40 Nerf gun! I’d originally bought a Series X controller, thinking it would qualify for the code. Apparently, those don’t count as “Halo or Xbox merch”—so don’t make that mistake, haha.

I did a lot of research for this one.
The actual state of this promotion is as follows:

The purchase must be done at a retail location. Online orders do not work.

These are the only qualifying purchases. Technically, the Wicked Cool Toys figures are also valid, but I’ve only ever seen one person find one available at a retail store.

GameStop has not informed their retail workers of the promoton. Period. They merely pushed a silent patch to the cash register so the code prints on the bottom of the receipt when either of these items are purchased. The only retail workers that know about the promotion are the few who noticed the code on the receipt or actually follow Halo news themselves (most seem to not follow Halo news).

I strongly advise calling ahead to any GameStops within a distance you’re comfortable driving to ask about “Halo Funko pops, Nerf guns, or Wicked Cool Toys figures” they might have. I can save you the time and tell you that there are ZERO qualifying items left in any of the stores in Utah, cause I bought the last 2 in Utah.

Well, then I’ll just be a default. Cuz’ I’m not paying for colors.

Awesome! I love that thing, so I hope you enjoy it too. I went in today and they had the Funko POPs in stock so I bought one and sure enough, the code was at the bottom of the receipt. The worker there had still not heard anything about the promotion from corporate (He had heard about it from the couple visits I made throughout the last month asking about it) but it worked!! I hope anyone who still is trying to get their hands on it still gives it shot even if the workers hadn’t heard about it. Hope is not lost, spartans. Good luck

> Most of the Funko Pops got scalped from the retail stores on arrival, but there are still some scattered around. Most stores never carried the Nerf gun in the first place, but the places that do carry it seem to still have them. This is also an extremely limited list of qualifying items compared to what 343 said was good for it.

Wait. So what’s the point of buying it online from the store if we have to buy it in person for the code? Kinda seems stupid especially since local stock is likely to run out and to order it online you also would have to pay for shipping.

Gamestop probably set those terms as part of the deal since they need customers to go into there stores in general.

You don’t have to, they have said there will be plenty of challenge based ones.

Is there an up to date and complete list of promotional armor coatings?

I have been unable to find one online.

I can compile one for you, if you want! I’ve unlocked most of the promo items, so I can check the list I already have. It’s not totally complete, so I’ll fill in where I need to.

I appreciate it! Thanks!
