can you get the DE with a code instead of a disk?

The Halo 5 CE was a perfect set up for me because its the best of both worlds between the ease of use with digital and video game collecting. I do want the box on the shelf but I really want to do play anywhere as well… From what I researched its not possible but I thought I would post here as a last ditch effort for good news…

It is possible.

The physical PC version comes with a Play Anywhere code.

I don’t think so, OP. I think it’s digital only. A little over 5 short years ago, CEA was released physical only. It’s still physical only (on 360). Times are moving fast.

… which, this got me thinking: why is it that I don’t know a single person who has physical copies of their music anymore, and people who do collect it on disc or vinyl are considered eccentric hipster weirdos, but it’s the exact opposite with movies and video games? What I mean is, we collectively went exclusively digital & streaming with music, but we’re not there yet with movies & games, are we?

They’ve cancelled plans to release the physical PC version worldwide, it’s only coming to the UK and Europe now.
