I remember I accidentally posted a Halo 4 leak thinking it was confirmed and got waypoint banned until 9999 yet here I am lol

To give you a legitimate answer OP - yes you can be permenantly banned from the game, but it would take consistent and repeated offences or something serious like modding your game / console or harrassing someone for it to get that far. You can check the ban thread for more info, or look up Xbox Live’s policies on banning users

One of the other lovely mods has lots of cookies. Heck, she may even BE a cookie…
They had this in previous Halo titles. Reasons included:
- playing the game before initial launch without prior consent (press/ sponsors are fine, hacking to get a copy or otherwise is theft)
- hacking players accounts for money (The Recon Scandal of 08)
and thats all i can come up with. Anything really severe that does “harm” to other players or the game. (hacking accounts or servers)
Console bans are a thing.
