Can you get past mythic reqs still? Such as the Halo 2 battlerifle, Halo CE pistol, Osiris and blue teams armor, or Noble Teams armor?
Yes.
You can get almost all Customisation and req options, with the exception of tournament gear, such as Athlon champion, and Achilles.
The entire gist of “Mythic” is that its the highest level rank in terms of REQ, its a variant of “legendary” but even rarer

No, there are Ultra Rare Mythic REQs as well as Legendary ones. Mythic REQs are in their own sort of category, but for a REQ to be Mythic it has to first be either Ultra Rare or Legendary.
EDIT: Just to make it more clear. A Mythic REQ can only be both Ultra Rare AND Mythic, or it can be both Legendary AND Mythic. Here’s an example. Whispered Truth is an Ultra Rare REQ, but it is also Mythic, denoted by the yellow banner going across the corner. If it were, say, the Halo: CE Pistol, which is a Mythic Legendary REQ, the bottom would read “Legendary” instead of “Ultra Rare”, the background would be goldish and filled with stars, and the banner would still be present.

My mistake, you’re absolutely correct!
