So I was playing breakout and I went from diamond 2 to onyx. I got my onyx from some platinums while diamond 6. (Not sure if that matters) So I play another game as onyx 1501 and unfortunately lose and went back to diamond 6, so my question is can you get deranked from onyx now
That’s been happening to people in breakout. Probably a bug
My fireteam’s ranks have gone from Diamond to Platinum in Arena Slayer. Seems like 343 is screwing around with the ranking system again, and now it really feels like a chore and grind to rank back up. That makes the game not fun for me anymore (and I was just starting to enjoy it). I also seem to have the most lag of all the player in the matches. I may eventually quit online gaming altogether after my Gold Live membership expires.

It is a grind yes but i guess its an incentive for players to not take it easy when they are diamond 1 / gold 1 etc
Cause usually if i were at plat 1 i would play happily knowing i wont lose my rank in platinum.
Also i guess it makes sense that its to diversely affect the ranks like some players who are not around onyx lvl in terms of skill anymore drop to diamond and gold to silver etc

You get the smurfs who derank on purpose now so they can take advantage of lesser-skilled players. This is going to turn a lot of new players away from the franchise.
