I’ve heard mixed things on this and I just wanna clarify. I’m Diamond in Slayer and I started at Platinum. I put a lot of hard work over the past almost a week to get to this rank and I don’t wanna lose it by getting bad randoms while my friends are offline. I’ve heard you can’t go down into a different division once you have reached a new division, but I’ve also heard that only applies for the first one you start out in (meaning I can’t drop below Platinum 1, but I can drop back down to Platinum 6), and I’ve heard you can actually go down just like you can go up. I’d like to know which is correct before I keep playing and lose my hard-earned rank
You will never go down a whole tier.
Meaning if you’re in Silver you wont ever go down to Bronze
But you can go down if you’re, for example, Diamond 3 and you lose a lot you will go to to Diamond 2 or even Diamond 1.

Only tiime your CSR will go down is in Champion and Onxy division (but you will never drop past Onxy 1500) But if you’re an Onxy 1615 it is possible for you to drop down back into the 1500s if you lose.
If you lose in Champion rank you have a chance of dropping back into Onxy
