I’m not sure about this because I read one thing online and experience sonething different first hand.
Last season I was ranked Platinum, but after I lost a bunch of games, due to playing really poorly, I dropped down to Gold 5 in one day.
From what I read online tho, this isn’t supposed to happen. Am I wrong? Did this change since launch?
I’m not trying to complain, I’d just like to know how it works now.
Back when the game launched, you used to not be able to drop tiers (Plat to Gold, etc.). But due to people being carried into tiers they probably shouldn’t be in, this was changed. That way, if you aren’t really as good as your rank indicates, Onyx, let’s say, you wouldn’t be “rank locked” into that tier constantly getting destroyed by people who are actual Onyx-tier players.
