Why i spent a fair amount of money on a season pass for DLC maps. Then playing for 5 hours yesterday trying to get a map to do some achieves I did not see a single Map. I did regicide and Rumble pit. 5 HOURS and not a a single DLC map. Didnt even get a choice to vote for one. It was solace abandon and haven almost every time. This is rather frustrating. Give us a FFA of every map type imo so those that got to the party a little late dont feel screwed by buying the Season Pass.

Queue up with someone else who has the DLC maps, you’re more likely to see them that way.
Did friend was with me he had the season pass as well.
More people don’t have the maps than do, so you’re more likely to play on the maps that shipped with the game.

Good luck getting to play on a DLC map outside the Majectic/Crimson/Castle DLC playlists. That has been a problem in Halo ever since H3. If there’s even only one single person among those you get matched to play with that doesn’t have the DLC, the DLC maps won’t even show up for voting.
I really hoped that after countless threads about that during the times of H3 and Reach both on the Bungie.net forums and here, 343i would have learned not to repeat that same mistake and give us some kind of option to choose whether we want to be matched with any kind of other players, or just with those who also have the DLC maps. But no. Instead we are again shown that buying DLC maps is a waste of money. You get to play the new maps in the map-pack specific playlist for some time, and that’s it.
I too am under the impression that I paid money for maps that never show up in the voting lobby. I can play for 2 to 3 hours without coming across any of the majestic maps. However there’s an overload of Haven, Adrift, Abandon, and Co-co-Complex (iiisssh!)
Its frustating. The population is already low and only a fraction of the remaining people bought those maps.
Seriously, they could just give those maps to everyone at this point, I think I’d overlook the fact that I payed for them and be more happy that I could play them again. I’m all for a DLC playlist.

Well though your luck was less than favourable afterwards, you did start of early with a game in Skyline with Regicide.
Couldn’t say about your choices but I do know you did indeed get a single game with DLC (besides going to the DLC playlist), contrary to claimed.
My luck has been great getting DLC in non-DLC maps.

Good for you. And I do NOT mean that in a sarcastical way. But you seem to be really rather lucky when it comes to playing on DLC maps in non-DLC playlists. Sadly, that’s more the exception than the norm.

It means we can see that you in fact have played on dlc through regicide
And I’m sure it appeared on the rotation more than once
Halo seems to always be like that.
If you don’t buy it the day the maps are out you’re bound to never see them.

They can do what you ask. They made Exile and Ragnarok nearly impossible to show up on voting in BTB now… They can make DLC the dominate choice if they wanted to.
I remember at least Call of Duty MW3 having an option for searching with/without DLC-Maps… just mentioning…
This should just make an all DLC playlist that makes so much sense its not even funny

Not really, I too have seen the DLC maps pop up in non-DLC lists often enough that it isn’t an issue for me, personally. The last time I played outside of the Castle DLC list, I even got JiP’d into a game on Shatter, of all maps. From there a few words on the mic kept the group together, and kept the DLC maps available in that list rolling.
Though I will say this, it’s a good idea to utilize whatever DLC only playlist there is while it’s there, if you feel you will never see them again. Get all the achievements while you can, and what not.

I also got on a DLC maps last week. I agree that it doesn’t happen often but you cant say it never happens. Maybe something that specifically looks for people with the DLC >.> or a DLC playlist or something that cycles through them 1-2 weeks big team and 1-2 weeks smaller maps. IDK dont hurt me

The point remains that in 5 hours I saw 1 map which was probably played early yesterday. I do know that while playing with my friend while trying to get achievements we didn’t get a single one. I know this because I wrote down all the names and every time a vote came up I double checked. Which means his post isn’t helpful and serves no purpose other than being a jerk on forums and calling someone out for their own amusement. That is all that was. 1 DLC map in 5 hours? That is still unacceptable for something that was paid for.
