I am currently trying to play on PC with a friend who is on xbox.
Is this possible?
Because we experience a long black screen when loading a game and then we both crash out of the game?
It should be possible assuming you have each other as friends through your Xbox accounts.

Yeah we are mates on xbox live.
We can be on the same fireteam, but loading into a game is when it bugs out

Alright dang, if you’re in the same fireteam then it should all be working. You should hard restart your console and get your mate to restart the game if that doesn’t do the trick then it looks like cross-platform is bugged for this flight. If you feel like putting in the effort, reporting the bug at Insider Support will let the devs know about the issue before the game launches.
