When we gain access to Forge mode, do you think we’d be able to use the Slipspace Engine to edit and create our own custom games rather than using what we usually use in other Halo Games. (The Monitor) Also… If you haven’t heard the news about Fortnite they’re basically gonna let you use the same engine they used to create Fortnite to make your own creative/custom games in the future, when they become a platform. This is what I’m wondering if Halo Infinite will allow us to do in Forge Mode. It might be a little too extreme, but hey, think of the endless possibilities of all the special talented people out there, utilizing all of the benefits, and creating the most unimaginable custom Halo games you will ever see in your entire life! *Cough Driving a fully functional “UNSC INFINITY” ship. XD
Also, isn’t Halo Infinite also gonna become a Platform, or am I wrong about that?
I’m not sure if I’m allowed to talk about games outside the topic of Halo, but hey the game has Chief in it though. Can anybody let me know if I’m allowed to even mention about other games as examples? I don’t wanna make a mistake of doing this again.
Kind of sounds like you want to directly edit the game’s coding. That’s a recipe for modders and hackers to cheat so most likely no.

From what I’m aware of, there’s nothing wrong with mentioning another game, company, etc in here as long as it pertains to the subject of the particular forum section. Then again, I’m merely a fan, not a moderator or worker for 343 Industries so I got a limited perspective.
Do you mean like use the engine to make your own games? Not custom game modes?
Making your own games I’d assume is a no, since Slipspace is proprietary tech, but you’ve always been able to make custom modes in forge.
Regarding the Unreal Engine though (which Fortnite uses) that’s been able to be licensed for a long time, so that’s not out of the norm.

I doubt it due to coding
An engine should instead be viewed as a black box which performs different operations related to the game like calculations, rendering ect. Forge is only a simple map editing tool which is used to ease the process of creating maps.
