Can we talk about how 343 ruined the Jenga physics?

Halo 5 physics objects wouldn’t jostle and behaved realistically. It was perfect for custom Jenga modes and it was the best that Jenga ever was.

Super disappointing that Halo Infinite takes a step back in this regard. Jenga modes are a buggy, vibrating mess and physics objects just don’t work like they should.

Not just that, but physics in general. I made a pillar wall that in ANY OTHER HALO GAME, you’d be able to knock it down with a Hammer or multiple Melee punches. This was how we made Fatkid and other Infection maps. For some reason, these pillars won’t fall or move unless you throw grenades at them.

343 changing the physics and the sandbox has broken the potential for making so many deeply loved custom games classics, for anything that requires stuff to work like any other Halo game. This includes standing on heads, grenade jumping, hammer jumping, concussion or rocket jumping, etc. You can’t play Jenga, Toilet, or any of those similar customs right if you can’t Hammer vehicles and objects… without Repulsor… Even with Repulsor, it’s not the same.

Normal Physics objects in Forge in general are very quirky in Infinite. I imagine its something that probably needs to be adjusted in a patch along with Prefabs being very difficult to move without breaking the prefab.

a bit off topic but i tried playing halo in halo minigame and its too hard to drive the mongoose because it turns too fast that you cant steer correctly.

There’s an option you can turn on that lets you steer with the movement stick as well as the look stick. I forgot what it’s called but it’s extremely helpful for making hard/quick turns.
