i dont know about everyone else but i liked the terminals SO MUCH BETTER then the intel because they provided backstory on the forerunners and not just what was there and now in the campaign can 343 bring the terminals back in halo 6(and beyond if they are still going to make halo after 6)
Why not both? I liked the intel, some of them were pretty memorable (elite love to palmer ftw). But terminals are still better IMO, Halo 2A’s and 4’s terminals were awesome and really contributed to the lore/universe/story. Maybe if we had those in Halo 5 the overall plot might have ended up being better. But I can see both working. IMO the more campaign collectibles the better.
I’m in the “Bit of both” category. Terminals had great lore, but the intel had some fantastic moments. The elite in love with palmer, halsey’s sass, the grunt “biologist”.
I don’t mind the Intel providing more grounded bits of information, but the terminals are needed for elaboration on the bigger picture.
