We were in this same situation in Destiny 2 around this time last year. A lot of people had the new next gen consoles, and there was a Destiny patch that added an FOV slider for consoles when it didn’t exist before. I think it goes up to 105 FOV, and it made the sensitivity feel really slow. Then Destiny 2 later got another patch that raised the controller sensitivity cap from 10 to 20, and that fixed that problem pretty easily.
There’s other good reasons to raise the sensitivity cap, it would be a big help for those mobility players out there like me, who like to run the objective, threading flag routes around the map, it would help oddball carriers avoid enemy players more effectively, let us get to the Stronghold capture zones more easily. Then there’s players who just prefer flick aiming period. It would help them a lot too. Plus it’s a crossplay game so in the interest of fairness between players on different platforms, controller sensitivity should be meaningfully faster.
Not everyone wants or cares about using faster sensitivity, but there’s definitely players who want that more than anything else. We should be able to flick the stick to perform a 180 degree turn, and we shouldn’t have to rely so heavily on aim acceleration for turning around fast enough. 343 please?
