No… I don’t like talking to random people… Also, misleading title is misleading :stuck_out_tongue:

As long as the community isn’t as toxic as COD’s. I honestly don’t know because I haven’t interacted too much with the Halo fanbase for quite awhile. I left because people were extremely arrogant, cocky, rude, and self-centered. From experience. players would pick on others for various reasons, usually because that they’re better at the game, that their target has differing opinions, or because their target has a high-pitched voice. It’s honestly one of the main reasons I mostly left to play other games. All games have their jerks, but in Xbox games, jerks often make up the general populace.

If I don’t have to mute half of the room for blasting music, screaming, breathing heavily, crunching on food, feedback noises, etc. then yeah, I’ll use my mic. Until that crap stops happening, no I won’t. Unless you’re on my friend list you’ll never hear me.

Why would anybody plug in their mic when 95% of the community is just an a** to them? And I actually have my mic plugged in too.

Exactly. Every now and then, I turn my voice audio up to see what’s going on in the room. I distinctly remember testing my mic once after not having used it for a while. I asked if everyone could hear me fine and was immediately answered with, “CAN YOU HEAR ME OKAY!?!?! DURRRR!!! Hahahaha!” followed by an assortment of expletives. I was immediately reminded why I only use my mic with friends.

I keep my mic in just to mute other people.

Sounds about right.

Can we get mic users who don’t scream, play music, breathe heavily, eat food while playing, and excessively trash talk?

Well -Yoink- I guess not.

I only talk to people I like. When I’m running with a party, I have my mic. When I’m solo, I don’t.

Sorry, man. Just find a bunch of people on here to add to your friends list so you always have people to play with. That may help.

I didn’t use to ever use it and decided to one day and was trash talked to oblivion by my teammate. Which was odd considering I led the team in kills, assists, and had the least amount of deaths.

That and the innumerable amount of times my girlfriend has been called a dumb b**** or c*** for having the audacity to be a woman that plays video games. shakes head

i often try to communicate at the start of matches, if im met with silence or stupidity i just mute them and focus on my solo game, occasionally i find players with a brain who try to work with me even if they aren’t great at the game teamwork can make all the difference, these people get added to my friend list as possibly useful and/or decent teammates

Could we get teammates that focus on the match maybe? I’d be more inclined to buy a mic (got my xb1 second, so no mic) if people focused on the match even it was just “help, need assistance” or “hey, hop in the hog” not “had some great tacos for lunch” or “got this girlfriend that …”. If the people using mic’s grow up a little (not saying everyone using mics but we all know the types) and be helpful and not a hinderence, more people will be inclined to use theirs.

I always focus on the mic I do my best in online matches to win while trying to stay positive as much as possible and I prefer to play with friends so we can work together to win and have fun

I love that most those people wouldn’t be caught dead saying anything like that in person, yet it’s perfectly okay to say those things over the internet. Real tough guys, right? Lol
