Halo CE- 3 kept getting better and better multiplayer wise this game is worse, It shouldn’t even be called a Halo game when it come’s to online.
C’mon be more constructive about why you don’t like it, I too really dislike Halo 4 but make a good discussion about it.
Halo 4 can have the changes it wants but I think they should have made a proper classic playlist section, that way 343 would be catering to both sections of the community and a lot of the complaints would go away.

I and many other’s wanted Halo 4 to be like Halo 3 multiplayer wise and not Reach. Halo 3 was so good and so many people played it. Change wasn’t needed it’s ruined the core of the game and this game pulls in a pathetic population .

I would bet Halo 4 had it been like 3 would have pulled in so many more players. You cant alienate a franchise and expect success

You act like the people who still play/want Halo 3 gameplay are of a different community than those who play Halo 4 or like the direction that Halo is heading with Halo 4. We’re all one community.
If someone wants to play Halo 3, they shouldn’t force that desire upon new games. Halo 3’s servers are still active. “You” can make as many excuses as you want to not go back to playing Halo 3 (net code, populations, etc…) but in the end they’re just excuses. If all the people who are forcing themselves to play Halo 4 who don’t enjoy it and want Halo 3 gameplay back actually put Halo 3 into their console and played it, there would be plenty of good hosts to choose from.
And so what if Halo 4 loses players? The Halo 2 servers were kept up this long even with 20 people playing at most. If people don’t want to play Halo 4, they’re well entitled to not play. Quality is purely subjective, population does not directly signify quality. If that was the case, then Call of Duty: Black Ops II is unarguably the best game of all time.
Sometimes I just don’t want to play Halo 4. Does that mean I think the game is bad? No. it does not.

I still play Halo 3 way more then Halo 4 I havent touch Halo 4 in about a month except spartan ops. Halo 3 feel’s old though not gameplay wise , it still plays amazing but graphic and update wise etc. Forge isn’t as good , the graphics aren’t as good and that’s about it . I would say halo 3 trumps it in every aspect except those 2 and even so Forge is downgraded from Reach

I’m sorry. I wasn’t aware that you have played it. It’s the best you’re gonna get unless they add the option to remove sprint in the TU and make a true classic playlist that you will still complain about. I want Halo back too but it’s not going to happen…ever.

It’s died as much as it’s going to. It had a good decade long run. Nothing last forever.
I just want a classic playlist. The gimmicky Infinity stuff is fun to play around in from time to time. Just wish they’d make camo and the Boltshot into ordinance drops and add a resupply to the ordinance drops.

Me too I would love a classic playlist it’d be the only reason I play online

I wouldn’t say they are trying to force anything. But by the same token, I think playlists with more traditional settings would be a step in the right direction and 343i is intent on making that happen.

People can play what they want, all that is perfectly valid. That said, as I said above, Halo 4 could cater to a lot more people than just those who want to play Halo 4.
I just don’t like that the armor is worse than Halo Reach and past titles…they all look non-spartan and like something out of a Japanese video game/ movie, like Killzone or Ninja Gaiden, or Metal Gear solid…ridiculous. I also don’t like the lack of rank, half the missing armor abilities, the dumbed down jet pack and why does it look like the Spartan’s are charging up for a magic attack when they deploy regenerating armor abilities, or the sentinel turret? They come just short of floating off the ground and unleashing a huge, mage, power attack…other than that, gameplay is great. I still mostly play Reach because of this, though.

I’d hate to tell ya kid, but halo ain’t going no where. The best thing I can tell you is to go and pop in your halo 3 or Reach disk in and play that. If you don’t like halo 4, sell the game, and remove yourself from the halo 4 section of the forums.
Complaining like this will get you no where, sorry.

You don’t like Halo 4 and think Halo 3 is better in general. There’s nothing wrong with that. Although I may disagree with some of your reasoning as to why Halo 4 is bad, you are entitled to your opinion and are free to play whatever game you want to play.
Halo’s biggest bane is the developer coming out with a new installment, but taking measures to cater to the audience who think one of the previous games is the best, better, or the epitome of the franchise. It should be how it is and that’s it. You either like it or not.
I’m a huge Ace Combat fan. I think Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War is the best game in the series so far. But I absolutely hate the direction they took with Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. I don’t like it, so I’m not going to buy the game nor play it. I’ll wait until they either come out with a newer installment that is more appealing, wait for if they end up remaking older Ace Combat games, or just bust out my PS2 if I feel like playing Ace Combat 5.

Complaining is what got us the competitive playlist. Complaining is what got 343 to finally admit they messed up with Halo 4. Halo will go somewhere and that direction is south unless the TU fixes this disgrace to Halo. Mechnaics that worked just fine, shouldn’t be seperated and make into mods. 343 screwed up when they fused Canon into the multiplayer. They screwed up when they shoved competitive play out the window at launch. They screwed up when they went the direction of COD and copied their loadout system even further. They screwed up when they made this game more Reach, then Halo 3. Vehicles have become useless with being able to have Plasma Grenades in loadouts. The Banshee is still weak regardless of the health being intertwined with the players. Complaining…is going to fix this game.
