The real Blood Gulch an identical 1-1 remake of the OG Blood Gulch.
I know it’s an awful map, I know there’s no cover, I know it’s impossible to survive a trip from one base to the other.
But I miss it, and I recently rewatched red vs blue and now I REALLY miss it, this must be how women feel when they want a baby. Like I want it so bad.

I just think it’s so bad. The only time I’ve enjoyed it was Valhalla, the spiritual successor.
Blood Gulch, Coagulation and Hemorrhage are awful maps for online play with sbmm. Fun games for 2v2 customs 20 years ago, but awful for online multiplayer.
Yeah I was playing it on halo CE recently and man…it really is impossible to survive a trip across that map. But it’s got personality lol I like it.
Rather not honestly. I never liked that tiny -Yoink!- base and how open it was even in the original. Now if they remade it with larger bases on each side and maybe a little more cover ( like Coagulation did in Halo 2 ) maybe I could get behind it.

I would like the map if people didn’t camp, and if vehicles were used more often. But all anyone does is camp so it’s not as good as some people think.
That being said, it’s better than most Halo Infinite maps, and it would actually be something NEW. So I’m on board with it returning.

Best map. Forge map makers remade it in every game. I don’t trust 343 to make it correctly, but since you have sprint and slide, as well as grapple and thruster pickups, it’s a lot more survivable than hopelessly jumping out in the open from snipers
Some vehicles and weapons are also dumb weak in Infinite, so the balancing would be questionable, but Bungie Halo BTB revolved around snipers and BR anyway so
Yeah, I’d play vehicles at base BTB CTF on Blood Gulch, if 343 doesn’t absolutely mutilate the map with rocks and trenches everywhere like they love to do, making driving not even worth doing

The fact that nobody can recognize Fragmentation as the new Blood Gulch, just goes to show how bad of a map it is
Fragmentation is a lane based map, I don’t see how that can replace the open-ness of Blood-Gulch and its descendants.
If we are bringing back awesome terrible maps from BTB can we have ‘waterworks’ too.
Loved the colossus tank battles in the centre bridge type thing.
Even the worst Bungie BTB maps I’d say are better than 343 BTB maps. I’ll request Sidewinder while we are at it, but Avalanche or Diamondback would be fine as well
That map was pretty fun, but still a tad bit too open for my taste.
Halo 3 had better larger maps IMO then 1 or 2 did.

As is tradition. Depending on the tools, I expect a bunch of variations of Blood Gulch, where people will ultimately settle on the best one and the rest will be unplayed. Not against Snow Gulch or Apocalypse Gulch, or any variations to accommodate sprint and grapple, but most people will prefer a faithful remake of the original
Aye 3 had good maps too but ‘containment’ for H2 was less open with its winding path under the middle and through the sides.
I’d like to see some switches to open doors in Infinite similar to ‘containment’ and ‘high ground’.
Fragmentation is clearly taking inspiration from the Bloodgulch variants. The problem is that the vehicle play is no fun at all on it. Driving a tank is like trying to navigate downtown London in a Humvee.
