I really thought that Legendary Slayer was going to have no sprint, oh well. I know people are going to tell me that these maps were made with sprint in mind(i’m sure people can create forged maps to counter that), but I would just like to see how this game plays with no sprint. No, Lightning CTF does not count.
Pitfall is gonna be on that playlist and we all know that that map doesn’t have sprint in mind.

You can play Hivemind. That has no sprint.

That’s what I was gonna’ say, lol.
But yes, I agree.
I too would like a playlist without Sprint to see how it plays.
I really want a no sprint playlist, i dont care if most of the maps are in forge at this point.
I don’t see what’s wrong with sprint. Sprint has become standard in most FPSs these days so why get rid of it?

Sprint is great for games with extremely fast kill times (Call of Duty, Battlefield, etc - basically close to 1 shot kill games). It is actually great for a playlist like SWAT. It even works on large, open maps to some degree (like in BTB). But on smaller 4v4 maps, no-sprint encourages better positioning/map control.
Edit: I’m not advocating removing sprint entirely. Just in 1 playlist, whether it is Legendary Slayer (which is trying to be like older Halos) or Throwdown.

Most sprint FPSes (cod, etc) also have much shorter killtimes (around .3 seconds) than the current h4 killtimes (ranging from 1.2 to 1.5 seconds). Not being able to shoot while sprinting in COD etc means that players can’t just sprint around the map haphazardly, you have to be really sure that no one is nearby before you sprint, whereas in Halo it doesn’t make as much of a difference.
Say it takes a quarter of a second to get out of sprint and start shooting, if that happens in COD you’re dead, whereas if that happens in Halo you still have a decent chance.
