Honestly it takes the fun out of sniping. I can understand if it’s for balance and gameplay but in the older games we didn’t have it and did fine!

I don’t remember agreeing to this.
Lens flare is a contentious addition to snipers, but it is an addition I appreciate. Getting gimped by snipers really was frustrating back in the day. The only time I really enjoyed the weapon was when I was wielding it. The lens flare is fine, it gives me half a second to survive. Snipers can still shoot down noobs and lesser skilled players, and it’s not like I will always see the flare when a sniper is trained on me.

Sniping in Halo 5 is more balanced now and kinda forces you to think twice on where you’re snipering at, In previous games it was extremely difficult to spot a sniper.
lense flare=less camping
Sniping has never been easier. The lens flare is there to probably combat the extreme bullet magnatism. My friends and I play Duck Hunt without scoping in because it’s just ridiculous.
