Title says it all. Next level in competitive gameplay is that ping system. It would be amazing in a Halo game, not just for the campaign, competitive and big team games, firefight and warzone. It would be epic. If not I still love you.

If that’s what it is, HAAAARD pass. Maybe it would be ok for campaign, but it has no place in multiplayer.
Played a few matches of Apex and I love that ping system. I think they’re going to set a new standard for team play with this game. Would love it in Halo. Especially if H6 gets a BR hehe.

The easiest way to describe it is to think of the spotting function from the Battlefield games. Except, in Apex Legends you can ping / spot armour, ammo, enemies, loot drops, weapons and more. It’s a handy feature. Many team based games could use it. However, good team communication is better, ping is handy if others don’t have mics.
Isn’t that similar to what you could do in Halo 5 Guardian’s Campaign with your squad?
i think this idea is okay. Not amazing but i dont see an issue with giving players without mics a way to communicate as long as its something players can remove from their hud just in case people take advantage of it to annoy others
Implement a ping system into Halo and scrap radar for good. Pinging is a player action and essentially a voiceless callout. Radar is free information and a crutch.
I’d love to see a simple version of it for marking weapons or locations
