Can we please add arrows to radar again?

Halo Reach had implemented the perfect addition to Halo’s Radar that had become a series standard for obvious reasons.

Arrows.

Is the person below you?
Fade out the icon to show that they are below you.

Is the person on the same level as you?
The icon is just a bold Red / Yellow color.

Is the person above you?
Bold icon with a red arrow above to indicate that they are above you.

The amount of times I have died in Halo Infinite due to looking up when my enemy is actually below me or looking down when in reality the enemy is above me is just APPALING !!

You added the Grappleshot that allows for players to get REALLY high up above you at the press of a button, and then for some reason REMOVE the arrow above a radar icon?

Now when the icon is faded, I know that the enemy is not at the same altitude as me; but that for some reason has to apply to both enemies above and enemies below.

Why was this even a change that was made?

Please, for the love of the sacred rings, return it to the proper form to indicate when a target is above by showing an arrow above the radar icon.

It is embarrassing the amount of times I look down because I see red dot movement while I am up high, only to be suddenly blown up from above by a SPNKR or perform an Assassin’s Creed-style beatdown because the enemy player had ACTUALLY used a Grapple Shot or a Repulsor Jump to get above me and just eliminate me without me actually fighting them back.

I’m certain everyone else has this issue?

I haven’t found the elevation to be complicated enough on Infinite’s maps for this issue to be that present. That said I haven’t played a lot on Forge maps which I’m guessing is where this issue is rearing its head around. But the dev made maps never seem to have more than two points of elevation in any given location, so if they aren’t on your level there’s only one direction they could be.

It’s a good feature though, and if it wasn’t for the maps I probably wouldn’t have noticed it was gone. It was extremely useful on a lot of Reach’s multi-tiered maps like Swordbase and Countdown. With Forge out and hopefully more vertically complex maps on their way to matchmaking I do think it would be worth bringing back.

Lots of minor things about the radar are weird, I didn’t notice this specifically but more info is good so, add it to the list of 343 crimes.
