Can we nerf the Wasp Rockets now please?

Look, I’m a pretty average player, maybe even below average skill. But I just played a game of BTB where I picked up a Wasp and I just totally demolished the enemy team with that. I never get >killing spree streaks but this match was so easy it was just unfair.

The problem is the homing missiles on the wasp. I get that it needs to be a thing in campaign but it removes any kind of skill-based play in multiplayer. Whichever wasp sees the other one first will get a lock and win that fight. And it literally locks on to anything.
Is BTB not supposed to be competitive/fair?

IMO, remove the lock-on completely and make the missiles act like the rocket launcher (just dumb rockets that go forward and make noise).

The Wasp on Deadlock is truly a gamechanger for whichever team controls it.
The Wasp on Highpower is chicken feed because each side of the map always has a Hydra spawn.

Perhaps increase the health, but slightly lower offensive power?

You can have the increased armor (or hydra nerf?) and you can even keep the ridiculously powerful chaingun, but I’m aking for the removal of the essentially “smart pistol” rockets that can track anything.

Please for the love of god don’t touch the wasp. It’s one of two games in the entire vehicle sandbox that is actually have decent and useable. Nerfing it’s rockets would toss the entire vehicle into the bin with the chopper, warthog and banshee

The wasp has good mobility and damage but lower armor than the heavier vehicles. I think the rockets are fine.

All the vehicles you mentioned are very reliable and useful in their own way. You only suffer because there is a lot of infantry weapons that can hurt/emp vehicles now.

Edit: Also, if you remove the homing capabilities of the missiles, the other vehicles will be more potent against Wasp.

It also takes quite a few of those rockets to hit to actually destroy anything (srs, even a moongoose can survive a hit from them)

Yes but in the time it takes for the rocks to hit, a skilled player will have switched to minigun and layed down enough damage to soften up the given vehicle. Unless it’s literally a tank.

Let’s nerf all the vehicle so the game more like a COD game. Sorry but no ty.

Never asked for that. Again, if the wasp rockets didn’t have homing, then the other vehicles would be stronger.

Wasp is fine as is. Stop calling for nerfs. Enjoy the sandbox.

I seem to die in it pretty soon due to its low armor so there’s a trade-off.

If I go up against someone very skilled with it who dominates our team and there’s no anti-vehicle weapons on the map I might change my mind though!

There are a lot of weapons around to take down a wasp. Like the disruptor, Hydra, Skewer and Shock Rifle, very helpful to make a lot of damage.

And you’re an absolute sitting duck most of the time if there’s a Skewer gun (I forgot it’s name haha)

You got it right, its the skewer. Also, just don’t take damage.

Haha just don’t take damage. That’s basically like saying “just don’t die!”

I find the rockets to be underwhelming to say the least. Same with the rocket launcher. Both are pretty weak.

The only thing I’d like to see fixed is how easy it is to flip warthogs and the ATV, they seem bouncy and drift a lot.
