H5 did this same thing, 343. Opened with no slayer specific ranked playlist. It took a while, but you guys caught on. Let us show up and blast. Some of us don’t want to play flag, oddball or strongholds. Some of us just want to blast fools.
You guys had an objective ranked list and a slayer ranked list before.

I honestly wasn’t expecting to enjoy the obj games.
Previously I only played Slayer.
But Holds is essentially Slayer and I like how it coerces your team to move together. I’ve always kinda of been a pack type of player… So it suits the way I would normally play.
Oddball is fun.
It’s only CTF I’m a bit down on. I think I would enjoy it more in a squad… But going on solo really puts you up against it.
5 flag is still my favourite gametype in Halo even playing solo. There is something about back to back quick flag caps that just feels so damn good.
Part of me is loving the combined playlist as I’m sure there are others that are discovering a love for some of the objective modes. It would still be very good to split them though for those that do want just slayer. I know I’d almost never search slayer if given the chance.
There was an interview or chat somewhere I saw (a while ago now) where they talking about the diminishing role of Slayer type games in FPS (not just Halo). How objective games are gaining the favour of streamers, tournaments, etc.
Younger players apparently prefer them.
And you can see why the lower to average players prefer them… you can still contribute to the cause without being pummelled on the K:D.
Oddball is my least favourite of the lot. But I was the same, just a slayer player but CTF and Holds has been super fun and really shows me as great at slayer I may have actually been, getting demolished in holds shows me my weakness as a team player and map control ability. Not just being a shoot and run “lone wolf” within the team mentality.
However I’d like to see the playlists get segregated eventually. I’d like to play CTF exclusively and same for Holds
