I think it’s cool how we can’t hijack bosses, but when it comes to the other enemies who are in vehicles it just seems cheap that I can’t even hijack them. It seems that I can only hijack an elite/soldier who hijacked me first.
I was able to hijack an enemy ghost a couple times while playing. I have not be able to hijack a banshee yet though, or a wraith.
Seems to me you can only hijack certain enemies but since i died so many times trying to figure out exactly which ones, I just gave up trying to hijack them and just kill them instead.

Don’t see how you would in firefight since 343i set it up so we can’t, I’ve never been allowed to and been killed in-game because of it due to 343i poor design choice…even if the enemy get’s out of vehicles, yes I’ve seen enemy’s jump out of vehicles and I’m unable to use them. It’s just seems like a poor game design choice just so they can force REQ only vehicles. It’s just weird that this is supposed to be a training simulator…and yet we’re not allowed to do basic things that can we do in campaign.
I’ve hijacked a banshee before during the round with the Phantom on Apex 7 so it can be done. I’ve also failed to hijack a ghost that was sitting still during a grunt mech round so it might depend on the round.

Wonder why… oh, probably because their rides are beefed up just like their difficulty meaning if we did steal one of their -Yoink!- rides, we would waffle stomp through the rest of the rounds.
I think it’s because of the Kill X vehicle rounds.
In the Beta release, it was possible to hijack them and therefore team mates couldn’t destroy them, causing a round failure.

Yea, but whenever we scavenge and use weapons dropped by AI they aren’t super charged or more powerful. Even though a Solider can kill you with 5 rounds from a Suppressor, it’s not like it does the same amount of damage when you use them. So I don’t see why this would be an issue when hijacking an AI’s vehicle.
Basically, they’re trying to force you to use REQ cards. Otherwise your entire team would be driving hijacked vehicles and breeze through the all 5 rounds without using any REQs.
Promethean Soldiers are actually quite cheap, they hijacked my Ultra Ghost or Temple Ghost many times already… next time I respawned, I managed to hijack them back. But I agree, we should have the ability to hijack all enemy vehicles that the AI throws at us. After all, plasma pistols don’t grow on trees.
from my experience, named enemies can’t be hijacked or boarded. I’ve taken a ghost before and a warthog driven by soldiers

But then people wouldn’t use as many REQ’s… 343 doesn’t like that

If an ai hijacks your teammate’s vehicle you can steal it back.
Honestly, we should be able to hijack all vehicles aside from bosses. Like in the beta where we could steal banshees and phaetons.

Yeah, It would be broken should the vehicles be overcharged. But still, I would like it if we could jack them. Save me a REQ pull from time to time. It’s not like it’s easy to get close to them most of the time anyway.
You can only hijack vehicles that have hijacked you or your teammates
Can the phaeton still be hijacked like in the beta ?
it seems kind of arbitrary as to which vehicles you can and cant hijack.

pretty sure it blows up after the pilot falls out
Allow hijack or at least allow us to plant a grenade.
I can understand bosses but a soldier jacked my Warthog and when I went to go get it back he was just sitting there, doing nothing as if the leather seats taught him how ot feel and regretted his life choices. I couldn’t take it back but I shot him in the face with my BR, then the Warthog exploded
