So while I don’t expect hayabusa to be back since it came about through a partnership with DoA I have to ask, why can’t we have the katana? The katana isn’t affiliated solely to DoA and is a generic weapon used in history so whats to stop them from adding it in?

If I could choose, have the flaming head helmet in game for everyone, but in order to get it, you have to complete a Vidmaster-like set of challenges.

Same use as an energy sword or a gravity hammer… Seems rather impractical to bring a melee weapon to any gun fight, yet here we are.

Then again, those can actually shred through mjolnir armor, while a katana probably couldn’t go through ballistic armor.
I honestly loved the Hayabusa set, including the Katana. But then again, I really like the Ninja Gaiden games. Not to mention my name/gamertag kinda gives that away…

That would actually be a cool idea, kinda like the golf club.
I agree, I would love to have a Katana in Halo 5, even if it’s just aesthetic.
Why not. Zero excuses for why we cant have the glorious Katana once again. Unless Spartan IVs cant handle the Katana.

I could say the same about the Energy Sword to an extent, but at least the Energy Sword is awesome. 
Mm… On that note… Maybe an Energy Katana? Legendary weapon possibility!

Only if it can be used as a real weapon but is also excluded from the hit box for the character carrying it
