Except, you know, it’s first decade. Except for that, then maybe Halo hasn’t ever been mainstream.
Have you followed gaming history?
Games having a specific idea it builds around do quite well.
However, games which try to capture other games’ audiences rarely do well.
WoW clones failed
Dota and LoL clones failed.
CoD clones aren’t doing well.
Build an intriguing game that players get interested in. Not something you believe everyone will like because that’s shallow, and people already have their own game to play. Why would they play a copy-cat?
I was under the impression Halo MCC is cross play with PC, and then also atleast Halo Wars 2.
Personally, I’d rather have a game I enjoy with a smaller population, than a game I don’t really like and a huge population.
Henche why I’m not really playing BRs, CoD, Battlefield and so forth.
Let’s assume for the moment that Halo Infinite fixes all of its issues and overnight become the biggest games of all time.
Now, if you like some other shooter, are you going to those official forums to say that exact same thing about those games? Battlefield and CoD needs to be like Halo Infinite in order to be mainstream and succesful?
Think about it hard, why does it matter to you how popular Halo Infinite is?
Current year argument and “evolve” buzzword.
No one is arguing against change, but what changes are made.
Odd argument that it doesn’t work given the wide range of different popular games.
And again, why do you care how popular Halo is?
Maybe Halo being mainstream isn’t something others prioritise that much?
Perhaps, people would like Halo to be mainstream on its own terms, and not become something they don’t like, because if Halo isn’t to their liking, it doesn’t matter if Halo is mainstream or not.
Myeah, Halo CE helped launch the OG Xbox to the skies and shaped a genre for years to come, Halo 2 helped e-sports grow and shaped online gaming for the future. Halo 3 saw the continued e-sports support and was immensly succesful, breaking sales records and having a long term big population.
Which hasn’t really been that small with millions of consoles and sold game copies.
Vague bucket list features and mechanics?
That’s only uncalled for.
No one is opposing new players and changes. Just what changes are made.
PS: the changes you are asking for are, b.a.s.i.c.
