Can we have more random events in the open world campaign? Feels a little dry

After you complete the campaign, there really isn’t much to do other than start a new game.

Guess I’m a sucker linear styled missions or PvE content in general. There seems to be a lack of it.

We used to have this really cool feature, where after you beat the game solo you could like, get together with friends and go on adventures and such. Now all that’s left is boredom.

A little dry? That’s an understatement.

The open would is empty and this is what 343 thinks is worth the $60? It’s a joke if you ask me knowing most of the vehicles are literally pointless to even have in the open world, especially the tank.

Like WTF were they thinking. Didn’t anybody think to actually test it to even know how huge it is with the way they designed the map? 343 needs to step it up big time, and add a lot more things to do without putting a price tag on it.

You cant even go back and replay your fav parts of the campaign solo, lol.

Not that there’s really any notable parts in this game beyond the first 2 levels.

My little heart yearns for it.

Its just what goes with open world games, there is a lot to do, but its finite. Thats why I like linear missions, all encounters are handcrafted and meaningful, you know when its the end and you are rewarded with the games ending. Hopefully answering all your questions or leaving you on a cliffhanger.
Open world games just slap you in the face when all is said and done, and you are left with a hole.

I’m absolutely with you and prefer a shorter hand crafted experience.

I do wonder why teams put all this work into their open world and then have about 5 copy/pasted event happen all game. Infinite, Death Stranding and Ghost of Tsushima are three major recent culprits. It’s like they forgot to add in stuff to actually do in there gorgeously designed world.

Yeah the campaign in general is just very dry. Nothing really interesting happens. The side missions are kinda copy paste replicas of each other, as are most groups of enemies; the whole world is one biome with like, three textures in it, and all the non-mission points of interest are just the same thing over and over. Personally, I think the whole setup is just kinda boring; they really didn’t think through the open world system.

Sure more unique events around the open world would be nice. Jut clearly Infinite is going for a quasi-open world approach. It’s more like a large sandbox to create a freedom of approach style for any interactions out in the open world. And it’s very successful at that.

Also I disagree with whoever said about the Tank. The Tank is basically an overpowered beast allowing you to annihilate everything in your path. It makes sense it’s not nearly as versatile. Stick to the roads with that machine.

To be honest I thought THAT would be the exact thing that would happen during events.

I like getting Christmas stuff as a reward for playing a game per day, but I wouldn’t want to call it an event.
