Can we get these physics back by chance?

For whoever doesn’t click the link it’s just vehicles bouncing off each other and flying through the air in HCE and the players in the video are doing some high flying stunts

This is too hilarious.

Also maybe attach shields health to the whole vehicle like it was in HCE so anyone with an AR, pistol, or grenade can outplay a turret warthog or even scorpion?

Having some more classic Halo things in Infinite would be awesome like one hit kills with objectives like flag and bomb stuff like that and the gravity effects from the gravity hammer was awesome to me it’s now just a giant hammer but I still use it

Halo 1 had some great multiplayer features but the vehicle physics weren’t one of them. As entertaining as it is seeing someone get splattered by a vehicle with the slightest momentum, or getting sent flying by a warthog going much slower than you, it was still broken at the end of the day and wouldn’t be received very well. The devs seemed to have gone a more “realistic” route since then with the collisions.

And I’m gonna have to hard disagree with tying shields to vehicles. Small arms fire is already more effective in Infinite than before as it stands right now. Doing this would completely eliminate the purpose of vehicles.

I would instead consider Halo Combat Evolved physics engine to be one of the worst things with the game. The main thing reasonings for this is the unrealistic behavior (like seen in the video) when objects interact with other objects and to control different objects. Due to these reasons, I do definitely prefer the Havok physics engine which can be seen in nearly every other Halo game.

Oh, I love that aspect of Halo CE’s vehicle physics! It’s so much fun to drive a Ghost or even a Warthog into a Scorpion and fly high into the air! I’m actually quite disappointed that we can’t do that in the other games.
