Or even just lower the weighting on it? It’s not fun being spawn trapped by insta-kill Light Rifles.
i dont mind lightning flag except one game where the team set up two sentries some how and i got spawn killed 6 times in a row.
I can’t hate Lightning Flag because I’ve never played Lightning Flag…

I hate Lightning Flag. Insta-kill just sucks, I wish it was Swat settings (headshots only insta-kill)
I don’t mind it. It doesn’t get picked too often, either. But SWAT settings would make it better.
Lightning Flag would still work with swat settings, and it wouldn’t ba as annoying because body shots don’t insta-kill anymore
Light Rifle still headshots
Carbine still headshots
Concussion Rifle still one-shots if the impact isn’t too far away
Auto-sentry doesn’t one-shot but is still annoying
I like L-CTF but the respawn in a kill zone needs to be modified.
It varies map to map, but small maps like Haven and Simplex, need to be worked better to stop it, I’ve not really had spawn killing in Solace or Adrfit.
3 second invulnerability or shielded areas where you respawn (like in Invasion in Reach), would stop it.
Honestly, it would be better if they just fixed the spawning system. It really isn’t very fun.

I do not understand why there is a spawn time in this gametype. If it is supposed to be fast paced, then why have a respawn time? It might be able to discourage spawn camping if it was instant.
So easy to spawn trap on Haven. I see people just lazily crouch and sit around while they destroy us. Absolutely despise it.

Because it would make it even harder to score.
I could imagine it MAYBE working for a slayer game…maybe.
But as CTF? It’s just infuriating. Especially with that stupid system where the flag instantly resets of a player touches it.
Though I could imagine that could be fixed if you had to hold down X to reset it. It still resets almost instantly, but you have to be quick and have good reflexes to make sure you hit the button. Especially in a hot zone.
But to be honest…it’d just be easier to remove it. ¬_¬

Put some real mini games into Action Sack. That is the whole point of that playlist.
Removing Lightning Flag is a bad idea for three reasons:
- More than enough people like it, evident by how often it gets chosen.
- It’s the only objective game in TAS, everything else is slayer.
- There are only very few gametypes in TAS to begin with.
It would be much better if 343i just added a SWAT Flag gametype in addition to Lightning Flag instead of altering or removing it.

So do I. I really, REALLY dislike it. But I know that other people enjoy it quite a lot, so it has its place. I won’t vote for it, but I also won’t quit just because it got selected. I play it, hope it’s over soon, and pray to every imaginable deity that something else gets selected for next match … preferably Lightning Flag.
Binary slayer and lightning flag are why i don’t step in action sack anymore. I was already upset enough as is when they turned it from an FFA to team based. Neither gametypes are creative in the slightest.
I miss doge ball where there were 2 sides spamming nades that spawn behind them at the other side everyone had one life.
I also miss the game where people flew into the middle of the map via worthogs and played a sumo type thing.
action sack really isn’t creative. It might as well just be re named team fiesta. Because all any game type is is just spamming of some gun.
