I say this all the time, and I’ll say it again, the Tenrai Event NEEDS an additional method of progression. Be it purchasing tiers, the pass, or simply a recurring challenge that requires you to Complete Fiesta Matches.
I’m not a great player, probably worse in Halo Infinite due to the obvious RNG mechanics regarding explosives. I work all day to earn money that I can then spend on YOUR GAME. Yet I’m being punished and isolated from a Free Event because of it.
If you say I’m not “being forced to play it” you’re wrong… you’re very wrong. Can I progress the event some other way? No? Then I’m AM being forced to play Fiesta, forced to play with bad teammates and enemies who may as well all be on PC.
343i, you understand that people are more likely to spend money if they’re enjoying themselves right? I want this game to succeed but the lack of communication about the return of these events beyond Season 1 and the fact that we’ve been given no other method of earning it is just odd. I’m getting tired of playing games that lock content behind “skill walls”, because EVERYONE is doing it and it’s horrible!
I’m not saying we should get the event completely free with no effort, but don’t shove ads in my face and then tell me to “get good” or else you’ll never see this content again.
I’m more than happy to pay for progression since a lot of the stuff in the event I feel is worth it. Yet nope… ONLY SKILLED PLAYERS are allowed to unlock stuff in the event. A simple recurring challenge like “Complete X Fiesta Matches” or purchasable tiers could solve the issue here entirely. Who cares if I have to pay for it? If I’m happy with it and the devs are happy then everybody wins.
