Simple suggestion return lobbies with a vote for what map to play on and start type. With 3 start type options for BTB and 2 for Arena.
BTB start option: AR, Commando, BR
arena: AR, BR
How this would work is upon entering a match you are put on a vote screen showing the weapon start options and map options. Similar to mech warrior online. Like in that every time you don’t get your option you get an extra vote for the next time you are voting.
As for why a vote on weapon start, because why not.
note: this is for casual only, not comp
EDIT:
BR, and commando starts are one gun starts meaning you don’t have the sidekick as you already have a headshot weapon.

Can we get a kick feture too. Most of the time ppl are not moving. Every game.
Game auto kicks them after 2 minutes… which in arena isn’t fast enough.
Yeah, only if they dont move. They mive every so often, come jump on with me and i’ll show you.

Note I didn’t say modes I said maps. I sort of like the random mode bit as we do have customs for when we want to play a specific one.
That said, yeah the more weight thing might be bad but it does work for a few games so it might be worth a try.
If there is even a chance it will have a negative impact on the challenge swap packs in the store, you can forget about it. 343 has bought entirely into that.
Even though they have stated they are working on replacements for those.

We need map voting “IN GAME” like other FPS games. Not in Lobby!

Imho, absolutely random maps and/or modes is better than mob rule. A voting system will only narrow the variety.
Uh all other games do that in lobby.
As far as I know Halo is the only game that I have played had those lobby thingies lol:
The other games that I play have it in-game IE: Battlefield, Franchise, UT Franchise, COD Franchise just to name a few. Now note the Voting Scripts are mods you can put on your server. What it does it gives you a list of 5 maps. It comes up in your text chat box.
