I didn’t know about either of those points. So I guess we might get mod support for the remaining games, maybe more campaign crossplay and some other types of cosmetics via the exchange but it sounds like the big releases are done from their update about 2 months ago.
It sounds like the big things are wrapping up. I wonder if there will be any updates in 2023 and beyond aside from server support, etc.
They did say that depending on support from microsoft/343 itself, they might be able to add the remaining H:O maps for Halo 3. Nothing set in stone though.
Do you have a source of this? Farn once said that further Halo Online maps were unlikely in a Discord server (I think one for Halo modding), but missions change.
Same server, his exact words were “it’s unlikely any time soon, but the door is not closed”
There was also a statement from one of the other devs in the news update around the same time confirming their interest in adding the rest, as well as Halo 3 having entries set up in the tools for them as well if they are ever given the go ahead to add them in the future (which everyone hopes they will)
My last comment was in may, still no avalanche sniper in the exchange, and to those talking about gameplay and ignoring the exchange i get your point but i like collecting and completing the game, i have 700/700 achievements and all other skins and armors in the game, when the avalanche sniper was available i was busy woth work and home life. The developers in thier monthly blogs promised it would be back in the exchange. In fact there were xommunity questions and that was one of them. Its been a year and it hasnt shown up. I still play mcc and enjoy it i have over 200 million exp in it. But i still want that skin and i find it ridiculous that i log in each week in hopes that i see it in the line up only to be met with disappointment.
Honestly, the Exchange has no business limiting items to weekly displays. This isn’t like Infinite where the weeklies encourage players to spend real money or suffer from FOMO. At best, the store should display ALL items available. And if anything, they can make so each week, an item or three goes on sale.
