Warthog runs are an integral part of Halo, or at least they used to be. Though 343i’s games have been oddly absent of these beloved moments, Bungie stacked their games with these things and they were always such a delight as a climax level. I was watching some YouTube videos and learned that some of the warthogs used in the classic sequences like The Maw in CE actually used slightly retuned versions of the vehicle in order to accommodate the unique level circumstances. I’d love an epic warthog run sequence in Infinite and they could totally adjust the speed for just that level in order to make it feel more cinematic like what we see in the Forza footage. How cool would that be?

Yes, that’s more or less correct, however Bungie planned to have at least two warthog runs that I know of in H2, first during Cairo Station and then after High Charity, both cut although you can still find assets lying around.
Halo 3: ODST does have a warthog run of sorts at the end of Uplift Reserve, and then also Coastal Highway. While Halo: Reach doesn’t have a proper run, they did include elements that were inspired like the last level etc. Yes, you reminded me, Halo 4 did have that ghost run which was pretty cool. I think a warthog would have been cooler but still a vehicle run worth an honorable mention. There are videos out there where people have modded that sequence to use a warthog instead.
Yeah Halo 2 is the one lacking due to the cuts, but Halo 5 doesn’t have one. Definitely need one for Infinite

Literally 2/5 games had them. I don’s see how this is true at all. I really enjoy warthog runs though and it would be great to have one again

I feel like Halo 4 had a light warthog run at the start of the second level.
And 5 had a short run at the end of Meridian, which I guess you can do in a warthog.

Yeah that’s a good call about H5, totally forgot about most of the events of that game lol
I think I’m good on any vehicle runs for awhile honestly. The runs kinda lost their appeal to me by being over done.
