today i spent over 150,000 RP on gold packs looking for wasps and phaetons and got 2 oni wasps, 1 phaeton, and 1 helios phaeton. i have everything unlocked so golds only cost 4,000 rp after the refund so that’s 38 gold packs and i got 4 of what i was looking for. i did this the other day too an opened like 25 golds and got around the same amount. i can’t get a hannibal wasp to save my life. lol
the req system was fun when unlocking stuff but as far as resupply… not so much.
Welcome to the Halo 5: Guardians Grind for hell…er, REQ system, where you either sell your money or your soul for new items.
And…we did get a pack like that a while ago…
Agreed… the req system is plenty bloated we really should have separate packs for vehicles and weapons.
Just prey to RNGesus that he’ll grant you the vehicles you wanted. But seriously I’m hearing people saying getting Wasps and Phaetons are pretty rare to come by.
There are 49 rare to mythic vehicles possible in a gold pack. A gold pack gives on average 1.2 rare to mythic vehicles, the odds are pretty slim against getting what you want. I have been on a helios streak lately and have 16 of them.

The place you sure as hell cant sell multiple reqs at one time though. I’m still confounded this action isnt the game, is there a rational justification I am missing here?

There is a google chrome extension to Waypoint that’ll let you do that. Shame it isn’t in-game, but it’s what we have, so i dunno.

Well.
At least you can stomp the enemy out of existence 16 times.
Ske7ch said earlier in the month that the ratios on the ONI (and possibly the Hannibal as well) wasps would be looked at later since they are indeed way too rare at the moment. How much that’ll change and when is anybody’s guess, but as long as I can get at least 2 ~ 5 ONI’s out of a hundred packs instead of zerroooooo I’d be happy.

You can sell multiple reqs at once using google extensions such as “Halo waypoint tools” to mass sell your REQS through waypoint.
Other than that, I’m not sure why it hasn’t been added yet either.
As for vechile packs, I want them back too. We had them for a limited time, alongside the mythical packs. Why not implement them into the game instead of a limited time thing?
They had the pack was 9.99 if I am not mistaken. I don’t think there was the option for paying in rp.
we should only get it on Tuesdays
I agree with having separate vehicle and weapon packs, and I also think there should be another pack containing only customization items (armor, emblems etc.)
I don’t think a vehicle REQ pack is a solution as much as the chances of getting high-value REQs should rise with rank.
I find that the problem is weapon/vehicle certifications. Once you get every certification, you are back where you started. They could have easily been built to reward players who have played the game longer (or spent a great deal of money) by building the higher level certifications to deactivate the lower ones (ex: ravening sliver certification out weighs energy sword certification. This would not mean standard energy swords would never be received.) Something along those lines. It doesn’t make sense that the more you unlock, the less likely you are to get what you want.

I have to agree that the certifications can cause issues for high level players, even if only on the basis that if a player has all or even a vast majority of the certifications they will in theory stretch thin the odds of getting a particular req due to the diversity of crap they have unlocked, and unfortunately the problem is easier to identify than the solution. Would it not create a higher disparity of firepower on top of that which is already present, ex the rich get richer? I do understand that warzone modes to tend to match with simiilar skill levels most of the time, and also depending on the individuals search parameter preference, but I’m not so sure it is the solution.
BUT we are talking about an upmost competitive multiplayer game where the ceiling for individual improvement is waaaaaaay up there. I have played plenty of matches where the vast majority of kills are earned from loadout weapons across whole teams, and on the flip side have been on the receiving end of some devastating beatdowns from teams using…you guessed it: loadout weapons. I do believe, however, that that is not the way warzone was intended to play out, seeing as how there is probably a 20 to 1 ratio of power weapon selection vs loadout weapon. BUT fighting primarily with loadout weapons and competing for specific power weapons, IS arena, or the vast percentage of it. Soooo i dont know guys im all ears.
I will say that, at least for myself, i think if there were the option for the standard gold, silver, bronze AS well as the option for weapon/ vehicle exclusive packs I may be willing to fork out a higher amount of points for those. As to the amount of additional points I havent put enough thought into it yet.
I wonder how it would work to have a currency specific to only weapons, and another for only vehicles? like i said im all ears
