Why is there no social slayer playlist in halo 5? Its annoying. Maybe sometimes i just want to hop on halo when im drunk or not in the mood to try my -Yoink- off for a win. You guys took away the halo 3 social playlist which was AMAZING. Why? Why does Halo have to be so competitive? Give us a -Yoinking!- social slayer playlist already!!!

Why do they take these things away from us?The community is very vocal about how much we love these playlists and they take them away. Isnt it more work to keep removing and adding playlists? I really hope theyre working hard on Halo 6 if they can’t keep us entertained on H5 with a variety of playlists.

Well how about trying to find something out first before coming on here in a tizzy about you not having Slayer. Dude, you’re not alone. There’s a lot of people asking for Social Slayer, but I still don’t see why you can’t play ranked Slayer without a care.
I am not excusing 343 not having a social slayer playlist. I just think coming here and basically doing the equivalent of a temper tantrum won’t do anything. Except make you look a little silly in my opinion. You don’t like Warzone play BTB, or some Customs. There are options. Heck fire up MCC for some Halo 4 ridiculousness. Now that’s laid back and drunk worthy playing.

Dude are you actually playing Halo 5? I solo que so BTB isnt a viable option. I like classic halo so warzone is horrible imo. Yes, I do play this game. In fact I solo queue BTB almost exclusively nowadays, and besides having long wait times it’s been great.
I am coming at you because of how you are voicing your argument. I literally visualized a grown man stomping his feet yelling, “I want Social Slayer! I want Social Slayer!”. There are better ways to get your point across instead of coming on here, without doing any research into the subject whatsoever, and giving us a post that has nothing constructive to it whatsoever.
Team Skirmish was around for a while. They removed it because of the redundancy of the playlists. They wanted to basically steer players towards other playlists. Did I agree with it, no. But they’re telling us it had to be done for healthy population sake, and I take them at their word. I believe what will be happening next is the consolidation of Team Arena and HCS, and thereby opening up a return for Social Slayer.
I’m not a shill. I just hope and advocate that the forums and discussions have some form of constructive vocabulary. Not all just gimmie gimmie, or else nonsense.

If you’re a good player its not fun to go into any ranked playlist while drunk or just looking for casual play. If you play at diamond rank you are going to get destroyed if you play casually in ranked playlist. Im not having a tantrum i just expect more from the current developers and you guys should too instead of accepting the current state of Halo. I’ve been playing Halo since i was a kid and if you guys dont understand what this franchise means to some i just cant get you to understand.

Oh no worries mate I feel you I’ve beeen playing halo since Halo 2. And trust me I’ve voiced my fair share of complaints on the forums I just don’t think as you said “throwing a tantrum” is the right way to go
im always for criticism if it’s constructive. I think it’s dumb how we don’t have a social slayer I just can’t fathom why it wasn’t a thing since launch.
Also it is possible to play causal in ranked when ranked high this is coming from someone who ranks high diamond/Onyx every season depending if I’m in the mood to play lots. Though that’s why my rank imo fluctuates so much from diamond and Onyx.
im not saying you’re wrong and it’ll get frustrating when you go against that team but you’ll get frustrated as well in social.
CSR is a bit iffy in my opinion as well I’ll go against high Onyx and I’ll mop the floor with them not even trying but not going easy either but on the other hand have a hard time facing some diamond players.
Bottom lime Halo 5 is far from perfect I hope they can learn from this and A improve this game and if not B make Halo 6 that much better

What can you do though? I usually just mess around in the customs browser man. It doesn’t really justify there not being a social slayer from the start…but…gotta just make the most of it I guess.

I dont think its too late man. 343 knows they have to keep us busy until Halo 6. They’ve added social playlists like triple team, skirmish and halo 3 classic not too long ago but unfortunately they ripped those from our loving hands. I think there’s still hope if we want it enough.

I made a thread saying "are you tired of rotational playlist? " and the topics body was basically about why not just leave them there? Permanently. The more options, the more slices of specific halo , halo 5 has to offer including those throwback playlists right? I mean…who in their right mind would complain about having more options?
Well a monitor replied basically saying it’s too late, it won’t work, it makes every playlist population go down, then it makes matchmaking worse. The main sentiment was “the best time for lits of playlists is when the game barely comes out.”

My knee jerk reaction was “why, it would be fun to play with friends, this is a dumb suggestion”… But then you’re actually pretty spot on; it should be solo queue. So teams can’t go in and wreck all the randoms that are going into a non-sweaty game. There are tons of solo players just looking to goof off. If not solo queue, a max party of two.
Agree. Solo queue only. Too many playlists are not fun to do queuing up solo which is all I ever get to do. I resorted to playing ffa today and actually had a pretty good time. Can’t get stomped by a team there.
