Can we get a return of the super scarab in HW2?

For those who don’t know the super scarab is the scarab from halo 2, and if you look at the back of the case from halo wars 1 you can see the super scarab on it. But yet we never get to use it in halo wars. But I would like to see a return of the super scarab if we do get to control scarabs again in halo wars 2.

As long as it’s a harder unit to achieve, that is fine with me!

Yeah, so you have one unit that takes up most if not all your unit count and takes most of the game to make. How would that be balanced?

It would be as balanced as it was in the first game. You only have 1-2 scarabs which were super powerful and like 4-5 other squads while other people can have bigger squads with less health than the scarab but. Strength in numbers my friend.

I’m pretty sure the scarabs from H2 are not super scarabs I think it was just the way bungie thought of it. I think bungie made the scarab perfect in H3

Which the scarab was able to decimate in HW1

As long as I can trip it.

6 vultures with barrage could take it down tho, at heavy losses.

Apparently cobras beat it.

I really don’t want the scarab in multiplayer but if they had to then the super scarab would be cool

I’ll be very angry if my scarab won’t be able to shoot beams of love and rainbows.

That depended on how well you managed your Scarab as a covie player when being mauled by tanks. You still had to use it wisely,rather than just rambo into somebody’s base with it,considering that player isn’t incompetent lol… Think of when you battled a master Forge player who spammed Grizzlies with an effective strategy and kept moving them around your Scarab. The purple people eater would struggle to to turn and keep up,or focus on a couple targets at a time and end up getting wrecked very quickly unless you have support from a teammate. All this said,I think it would be great to try a Super Scarab in HW2 just up the pop to 30-40 whatever they decide and make it slightly longer to build than normal Scarab not by a longshot though. Give it some kind of offset like the normal Scarab so its not just an invincible monster,but almost haha.

Well it had 2 AA turrets and it’s massive laser what do you wanna offset for it?

Any number of things like an Achille’s heel some weak point on the hull that incurs extra damage if the base plating is sheered off like the Halo 3 Scarab or a more natural weakness to a certain weapon or unit as has been the case in the original Halo Wars. You gotta think too that with the box One being a power house by comparison to the 360,they can do way more by means of including more varied units and a system altogether for HW2 that could easily afford the inclusion of this beast. My only question is why not? Plus the AA turrets on that variant could always be destroyed with enough firepower anyway,so it could work.
