Since the release of Halo Infinite, there have been a lot of circle-jerky posts that exist solely to spread negativity, jump on the outrage trend, or to sling mud at the dev team. These posts provide nothing helpful in the way of feedback or discussion, and sometimes they demonstrate a clear lack of understanding or even contempt for Halo as a game/series.
I’ve been flagging posts like this as Spam, but it would make more sense for us to have an “unhelpful” option to flag them as.
If you choose ‘something else’ you can specify which rule violation you’re attempting to report.
I tried that, and it kept telling me that I “am not allowed to include links in my message” and refused to flag. I think that that might be a separate bug. lol
I can start trying that again to see if it was just a fluke.
I’ve not seen that happen when attempting to flag a post. If it keeps up feel free to pm us a screencap so we can see what’s causing the error.
I will. Thank you. It might have just been my phone being weird. I haven’t tried it in a couple of days, and I have mostly switched over to posting from my PC. So maybe it won’t be an issue anymore.
I tried again today to flag a post with a custom reason, and it gave me the same error. “You cannot include links in your post”. Again, I did not try to include a link, just a couple of words summarizing my reason for flagging.
As per your instructions, I took a screenshot of the error message, and tried to send it to you in a DM. But hilariously, it gave me an error message that “You cannot embed media in your post”, and wouldn’t let me send it. Then I tried to message you without the picture and it said “You are not allowed to message this user directly”. So now I’m just responding to this conversation again. lol
My account is relatively new, so I wonder if I just haven’t earned all the required privelages yet?
